that does not serve our
highest selves.
Let us feel the authentic support of inspiring women guided by grace.
Let us share in this new sacred space, visioning together as leaders,
dancing our dreams across the canvas of five days.
Let us experience the myriad of ways to access the wisdom in our bodies
~ remembering our own unique truth as we witness each other
in full embodiment of our highest expression.
Let us play together, weaving a beautiful tapestry of our collective myths,
through dance, voice, and all expressive healing arts,
and share our ritual performance with our friends, new and old.
Calling in what we want to activate and birth in our own lives as we intentionally support the opening and birth of this playground sanctuary, giving us the experience
of our deeper selves, our power and the wisdom of Living Artfully.

January 2008 marks
the opening and activation of a realized vision ~ to create a space that serves us all as a sanctuary and as a vessel for transformation,
growth and
creative expression.
Offer your work and expression in this open forum Birthing
Bamboo holds the space for showcasing your work, sharing your gifts of
activation through your own techniques. I want to open the space for
each of us to share our wisdom, inspiration and methods of embodying
the divine and accessing pure creativity. Please let me know if you are interested in sharing a technique, a short workshop, or what ever form your gift expresses itself.
Together
through the days we will be creating a co:crafted community ritual for
birthing these ideas out into the world ~ taking what we have learned
and awakened within ourselves and gifting it in activated form as an offering and blessing
~ birthing the space whilst birthing our dreams.

with an abundance of Shakti,
unleashing our vital creative life force,
filling and blessing the studio
whilst activating and birthing
our own individual dreams.
The Flow
Each morning myself, or other participants who have arranged to offer their work, will lead us in exercises to express, witness, discover and create with each other.
I will be sharing my work, offering tools for embodiment as we access the wisdom
held in our bodies through the expressive healing arts.
Fusing aspects of yoga, martial arts, guided movement, five rhythms, tantric breath work, Temple Dance, halprin's life/art process and meditation, I will guide us through exercises to awaken us into the now
and into our beautiful moving bodies.
We will discover our own unique Templebody dance, our body mudras sealing in the intention of what we are holding in our consciousness in that moment.
Presence is the Key to Living Artfully
This retreat is a co:creation, I am open to seeing how it shapes itself.
I envision Birthing Bamboo as an opporunity for community to come together from all parts of the globe, sharing ourselves, our stories, our deepest longings, desires and dreams with one another. Let us feel the support and power of having a witness, as we sit amongst a circle of empowered women on the path of
embodiment and grace.

Space & Location
Bamboo is nestled alongside the Baru river,
at the base of the rainforested mountains, where the river meets the sea.
 Come visit Bamboo, our divine outdoor studio located
in Dominical, on the pacific coast of Costa Rica,
three and a half hours south of the international airport
on the frontier of the spectacular Osa Peninsula.
Situated in the heart of this cute little beach town,
we are conveniently located a short walk from local
accommodations, amenities and this stunning beach.
Dominical and surrounding areas lay claim to great surf,
canopy and rainforest zip line tours, waterfalls, snorkeling,
diving, boat trips and many other outdoor activities and
adventures.
Bamboo sits atop our recycled container home.
Made from localhardwood, this 1200 square foot
studio lends itself to accommodating large groups
of participants offering plenty of open space to
explore and play in.
Bamboo enjoys a stunning view of the river and
ocean with verdant greenery on all sides.
Although we are in the heart of Dominical,
Bamboo offers a safe haven, protected from
the bustle and outside distractions.
BAMBOO WILL BE AVAILABLE TO RENT IN 2008 FOR YOUR OWN RETREATS IN PARADISE!

Rooms for January - high season, vary dramatically from $20 to $100 per night. Sharing with others will reduce your cost to around $20- $40 a night depending on what you desire. There are a variety of options for accomodations from camping for $5 a night to a sweet villa for $42. www.villasriomar.com (more info with pictures for accommodation coming soon) Flights are fairly reasonable for January through www.sidestep.comWe found return tickets between $220 and $500 depending on where you live.
Birthing Bamboo party January 17th
We will have an open party on the night of the 17th for the community, all welcome.
There will be space for performance and guest DJ's.

Manifesto Gathering
For those of you who can stay longer, a group of us will be heading to the stunning Nicoya coast January 18th through 23rd for the Manifesto Gathering www.manifestogathering.com For those interested, it is my intention to create a performance piece from our time at Birthing Bamboo, infusing Manifesto with an offering of the divine feminine the night of the 23rd. |
